Once Upon a Read-a-Thon Updates and Challenge

Time for my first update! I'm writing this post while making a quick lunch. I've read one book so far and am starting a new one after finishing this post.

What is your favorite type of myth (Greek, Roman, Egyptian etc)?

I love Greek Myths. I love the creation of the world myths, the Gods, the heroes, everything about Greek Mythology interests me. Faery lore also interests me a lot too!

What is your favourite book with some type of mythology in it?

Rick Riordan dominates mythology to me. I love Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus and The Red Pyramid. I started jumping and screaming after reading the preview for Son of Neptune (Heroes of Olympus #2). I love this author. I love his books. I have been seeing more books with Greek mythology in them and that's exciting, I just haven't read something as memorable as his books.

Once Upon a Read-A-Thon Begins!

This is just a quick post letting y'all know that from right this second to 11:59 PM on July 13th  I will be reading a ton. I'll be doing updates via blogging and twitter when I need a break for reading. My goal is 7 books! I'll be reading as much as I can except on short breaks or when duty calls. This means that regular features such as Song of the Week and Cover Wars will be on hold. This is going to be such a fun experience!

Once Upon a Read-a-thon

I signed up over at Reading Angel for Once Upon a Read-a-thon which is basically about reading as many books as possible (challenge yourself!) from 12:01 AM July 11 to 11:59 PM July 13th. This will be during my summer vacation so I'll definitely have time for this. I'll be sharing updates via Twitter for sure, maybe blogging and Goodreads too. I'm super psyched and totally ready!

I think my goal will be to read at least 7 YA books, but I'll be super duper excited if I can get to 9. Yup, with coffee, tea and chocolate I think it's possible! I look forward to then and feel free to drop by with some much needed (I presume) support!
